It’s been a super exciting week as my business was announced a finalist in the CGU Commerce Ballarat Business Awards 2014, in the category for Creative Industries sponsored by Remingtons Insurance Brokers.
This is such a huge honour for me, having started my business with no idea about business in the beginning! There’s been lots of hard work, lots of learning, lots of fun, lots of tears…. and then lots of fun again. Yes, it’s been a roller coaster at times, but the last few years have really been more of an upward trajectory. I don’t often stop to reflect on what I’ve achieved (there’s always the next thing to reach for), but watching this television ad below has definitely made me stop, smile & remind myself of everything I’ve been lucky enough to create in the last 7 years.
Huge thanks to everyone involved in putting these awards on, the judges, all the mentors I’ve had over the years, my amazing friends & family for constantly listening to me talk about work & of course my wife Ali, who never stops believing in me.
I’m up against some incredible talent in The Crafty Squirrel & Missy Mao Mao, so regardless of who takes out the gong, I think we’ve all already won!
