Under the banner of “Rethinking the Australian legend” the Wadawarrung, Worimi, Djab Warrung and others joined together to build one of the most significant forms of transport in Australian history – the Stringy-bark canoe. This was filmed over one fully day, as the tree was identified, bark cut, and canoe made.
This film and the canoe will go on to form education programs for community, schools and Federation University Australia and was created with support from Ballarat Tech School, Wylaa Buuranliyn, Wadawarrung, Salt Bush Kitchen and Federation University.

As part of this project, we created three educational videos (between 3 and 6 minutes in duration) for students to grasp the concept and technology of putting RFID micro tags on bees as well as biosecurity in relation to beekeeping.
